Dan Richter's iconic memoir republished ...with messages from Dan and Keir Dullea
This first volume of Lady Queenborough's infamous polemic against all initiatic cults, religions and organisations (other than her own) can be at times misleading, but it is an interesting starting point for further investigation and does point out the ways in which secretive heirarchies are open to abuse.
Although her investigations were thorough, it is clear that her total lack of sympathy for other spiritual views (which extends to the open approval of the torture and murder of 'heretics') led to an inability to comprehend spiritual symbolism and an over-readiness to accept the most negative interpretation of spiritual behaviours and organisations outside of the (Roman) Christian mainstream.
Read cautiously and with further research, this book can be a valuable source of information.
Taken at face value, it demands a return to the values of the Spanish Inquisition...
